Wellness Day

What is Wellness Day?

Wellness Days expose students to activities and celebratory moments many children from underprivileged neighborhoods and school districts may otherwise not experience.

Wellness Days are dedicated days throughout the school year when Mastering Wellness Together celebrates students for their previous and future achievements - in line with the MWT mission of bridging agency and lifestyle gaps to help cultivate healthy lifestyles and overall well-being.

Wellness Days are divided into two three-hour sessions. Session One activities run from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Session Two activities run from 12:30 PM - 3:30 PM. This reduces overcrowding of activities, increases faculty supervision, and provides Wellness Day supervisors that work the full Wellness Day a 30-minute duty-free catered lunch break.

What is Required?

• Students must have signed permission slip to participate

• Schools can opt-out of any of the activities

• Schools must provide staff for Wellness Day supervision

• Schools must provide tables for the event

• Schools are responsible for providing and ensuring the availability of the venue (for instance, the football field)

How Much is the Wellness Day Add-On?

One Wellness Day add-on is $1,500-$2500 and will take place during the academic school year on an agreed upon day between the school and MWT administrators.
